Rescue Engine 604 is a 2004 E-One and was placed in serviced at 1800 hrs. on March 14, 2006 and ran its first call at 1803 hrs. This unit is first due for all Rescues, Transportation type incidents such as MVC's, Auto fires, and Petroleum spills as well as Medical assists and CO investigations. RE604 is a 2005 E-One Cyclone II, 8 person cab, powered by a 500 HP Cummins Engine with an Allison Automatic transmission. The tank has 1000 gal. capacity with 30 gal. of Class B foam and a 1750 gpm Hale Single Stage Mid-ship Side-mount pump. It is equipped with numerous hand tools, 8 - Scott Airpak 75 high pressure SCBA with 45 min. bottles, a Scott multiple gas meter, four 200 ft. - 1 3/4" attack lines, one 200 ft. - 2 1/2" attack line, one 150 ft. - 1 3/4" trash line, 1050 ft. 5" and 800 ft. 3" supply lines. RE604 has the station's first pre-piped deck gun. This unit is also equipped with an Onan 15KW Hydraulic Generator to power a 200 ft. cord reel and the six Magnafire scene lights. There is a complete Hurst rescue system on-board with a Spreader, "O" cutter, Combi-Tool, and Rams. The Hurst equipment is powered by and on-board electric pump supplying two 100 ft. reels.There is also a gas powered Hurst pump for portability. RE604 is equipped with BLS equipment and was certified by the MIEMSS Seal of Excellance as a BLS First Responder Unit. (Update Spring 2007) Additional equipment now includes a Gas Leak Detector, Hurst Rabbit Tool, Hurst Mini-Cutter, and a set of Paratech Struts. (Update August 2008) The Hurst Rescue System is now outfitted with the STREAMLINE (TM) Technology Couplings and the former "O" Cutter has been replaced with a new MOC II Cutter. ***Update Spring 2009 - New 4 - bottle high pressure air cascade system is now on board.
