At 1042 on Friday November 02, 2007, Wicomico Central alerted Station 6 - Parsonsburg and Station 74 - Delmar (www.delmar74fire.com) for a Motor Vehicle Collision with Rescue on Downing Road near the intersection of Wintergreen Place. The MVC was reported as a single car vs. a tree. Command 6 responded with 620 (Capt. L.Tyler) followed by Rescue Engine 604 with 617 (A/C E.Tyler) and PM-B6. Station 6 units arrived with a passenger car that had hit 2 trees and a culvert and came to rest in ditch, 620 established "Downing Road Command" and 617 was in charge of Rescue Operations. Rescue 74 with Deputy 74 (D/C D.Scott) arrived and went to work with Rescue Engine 604's crew to remove the roof, 2 front doors and do a dash roll. With the great teamwork, the patient was removed from the vehicle in about 10 minutes and loaded into PM-B6 for transport to PRMC.
