Accident w/ Rescue - Forest Grove Rd.

About mid morning, Station 6 and Station 7 (Pittsville) were alerted for an MVC with Rescue on Forest Grove Rd. just North of Rt.50. Reports were of 1 vehicle with only 1 patient. 622 (Lt. Willey) arrived in his POV and confirmed the report. Paramedic A6 and Rescue Engine 604 responded. Upon arrival, the Rescue Engine's crew stabilized the car and started working on opening the driver's door and began removing the windshield. Rescue 7's crew was directed to assist with personnel while 716 (Asst. Chief Bell) was assigned Rescue Ops. Once the driver's door was popped, the Paramedic determined that the patient could be properly removed. Paramedic A6 transported the patient Priority 1 to PRMC in Salisbury, MD. Command released Rescue 7 while 604 remained to assess a possible gas leak on the car. Station 6 Fire Police kept Forest Grove Rd. closed until units cleared.
