As storms were moving through the area, a call came in for a garage fire at a residence on Crofton Drive located in the Northwest part of Parsonsburg's first due. 615 (S. White) arrived on scene first via POV with a 2 story split level dwelling with attached garage. All occupants were outside and reported that their home had been struck by lightning and there was a small fire in the garage. The crew of Engine 2 investigated the garage while the crew of Engine 605 investigated the interior of the dwelling. A smoldering fire was extinguished around a hole in the garage wall on side "D." Both floors of the house did not have any signs of fire other than a light haze of smoke. PPV was set up for smoke removal. An investigation revealed that a TV antennae was hit by lightening then followed the antennae wire through the garage wall and then to the breaker box.
