At 0355 hours, Stations 6, 7, & 2 were alerted for a working house fire in the 7100 block of Wainwright Avenue in Parsonsburg. Command 6 (640-M. Parsons) was first on the scene with a well involved 1 story dwelling. Engine 605 arrived and initiated a defensive attack on the fire while the EMS crew treated and transported one of the occupants, a second occupant was later transported to the hospital as well by Salisbury EMS. Once the fire was knocked, crews remained on scene for a couple of hours to overhaul. The fire was caused by smoking materials coming to close to a home oxygen device.
