Vehicle Accident With Entrapment - Dagsboro Road West of Zion Road

Just after 3am on Saturday September 08, 2007, Station 6 - Parsonsburg and Station 74 - Delmar were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision with Rescue at the intersection of Dagsboro Road and Zion Road. Deputy Chief Mark Rickards (Sta.6) arrived on scene P.O.V. and confirmed that there was 1 patient (the driver), a "Door Pop" would be needed to remove the patient, and the vehicle was leaking gasoline.. Deputy Chief Rickards also advised the incident was located West of Zion Road in Sta.74's first due. Chief Steve White (Sta.6) arrived and established "Dagsboro Road Command." Rescue 74 arrived and started extricating the patient, Assistant Chief Andrew Rementer (Sta.74) was in charge of Rescue Ops. Command advised the crew of Rescue Engine 604 to pull a handline and to have the rest of the personnel assist Rescue 74's crew. Once out of the vehicle, EMS personnel assessed the patient and determined him to be a Priority 1 due to mechanism. Paramedic A74 transported to PRMC. For more pictures, visit  www.fithp.com .
