On Wednesday March 19, 2008, Asst. Chief Tyler and Deputy Chief Rickards conducted a drill on foam application. We discussed the different uses for the foam, which lines are capable of flowing it, what appliances are needed, and refreshed the pump operators on how the foam system works. We also made the firefighters aware that foam use may increase due to the new Gasoline/Ethanol Fuel Blends that are not only in the vehicles, but also at gas stations and transport "Over The Road." Currently, Rescue Engine 604 carries 30 gallons of AR-AFFF 3%/6% in its onboard tank and Tanker 608 carries 12 - 5 gallon pails of the AR-AFFF 3%/6%.
