At 1000 hrs today, the new Brush 606 was placed in service. Brush 606 is a 2011 Ford F350 4x4. The new unit features Whelen LED lighting, 200 gallon poly water tank, and a Hale/Kubota 220 gpm diesel pump. Other features include a Winch, under skid storage, custom storage boxes, and a front spray bar. The unit is equipped with brush rakes, water bags, axes, shovels, brooms, chainsaw, a booster reel with 200 ft. of 1in. hose, a second reel with 600 ft. of 1 in. forestry line, 150 ft. of 1 3/4 in. attack line, & 100 ft. of 2 1/2 in. supply line. The custom conversion was done by Winstead's Fire Equipment in Denton, MD.
