While operating on the scene of a combine fire on Morris Leonard Rd., Station 6 was alerted for a second call in the district, along with Salisbury's Rescue 16, for an MVC with Rescue on Hobbs Rd. near the intersection of Old Hobbs Rd. Upon arrival, Deputy Chief 6 (J. Tyler) found a collision involving a car and a dump truck and established command. Upon investigation, it was determined that a door pop would be needed for the driver of the car and the call was also upgraded to a HazMat response for a diesel fuel leak from the dump truck. RE604 arrived and handled the door pop, Brush 606 cleared the combine fire and returned to the station and responded with Special Ops 6. The crews of Special Ops 6 and HazMat 1 controlled the leak and cleaned up the spill.
