At 1852 hours, Wicomico Central alerted Stations 6, 7 (Pittsville), & 2 (Salisbury) for a working house fire at 7225 West Ranier Drive in Parsonsburg. Central updated responding units of numerous calls reporting fire through the roof and possibly persons trapped. 2 additional tankers were immediately requested from Station 1 (Salisbury) and Station 74 (Delmar). Upon arrival. Engine 605's crew immediately pulled a handline and made entry on Side A and began searching for the victim and attacking the fire. The victim was soon found to the rear/exterior of the dwelling by personnel and was immediately moved to the Ambulance for treatment and transport to the hospital for burn injuries. The interior crew reported no other occupants and that they had a good knock on the fire. Rescue Engine 604 was assigned RIT, Engine Tanker 703's crew went to the roof for ventilation and Engine 2's crew assisted with overhaul. There were no firefighter injuries.
