Parsonsburg Fire Company Mourns the Loss of Marilyn Brown

Monday, April 17, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that the officers and members of the Parsonsburg Fire Company announce the passing of Marilyn Brown, a long-time member and treasurer of the Auxiliary. Marilyn passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 74.
Marilyn joined the Parsonsburg Fire Company Auxiliary in August of 2011, and since then, she had been an essential part of the team. She served as the treasurer for many years and was always focused on finding ways to increase funding for the auxiliary to support the mission of the fire company. Marilyn was extremely organized and could always be found preparing for any event, function, or fundraiser.
Her presence was felt not just in the administrative work she did, but also in the kitchen. Marilyn loved cooking, and her potato salad and apple fritters were always a hit at every event. She was the brains in the kitchen and could rattle off recipes and measurements with little thought.
The officers and members of the Parsonsburg Fire Company are deeply saddened by the loss of Marilyn. Her dedication and hard work will always be remembered, and her absence will be felt by all who knew her. The company extends their deepest sympathies to her family and friends during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be led by Rev. Steve Willing on April 22, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Parsonsburg Fire Company, located a 33030 Old Ocean City Road in Parsonsburg, MD.
Rest in peace, Marilyn Brown. You will be dearly missed.
